Beliefs

Our Beliefs

Our beliefs reflect our commitment to God’s presence, His Word, and His purpose for every person. They form the foundation of who we are as a church.

For more than 42 years, Church on the Rock has been led by our founding pastors, Pastor David and Pastor Kim Blunt, with a passion to build a life-giving church anchored in God’s Word and empowered by His presence. Inspired by Matthew 7:24 (KJV), we help people build their lives on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ.

Church on the Rock exists to lead people to a God who is for them and to help them discover His purpose for their life. We are a presence-driven and Word-centered church pursuing the presence of God and building lives that are strong in faith, filled with hope, and anchored in His Word.

Every service is an opportunity to encounter Jesus, experience His love, and be reminded that God is for you. Our culture is shaped by three key words, Excellence, Simplicity, and Integrity, guiding everything we do.

Church on the Rock is a place to belong, grow, and discover the life God created you to live.

Committed team members are passionate about what they do and understand their impact on the lives of the people they are serving. They are committed to the ministry of Church on the Rock, their service areas, and their team members.

Matthew 25:23 His master said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master.”

Proactive volunteers anticipate needs, walk the extra mile, and are available and attentive to others. They are intentional about seeking out situations and circumstances in which they can be of assistance to a member or guest.

1 Peter 5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve.

Jesus Christ is the son of God. He lived a sinless life among us. He offered himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all. He died on the cross and arose from the dead demonstrating his power over sin and death. He will return again to Earth and will reign forever.
